GKN Aerospace is a global aerospace company with most of its product offer in Civil and Military aircraft applications. Space is a smaller part of the business in Trollhättan, but at the same time an area where Technology Development is at the forefront in order to meet current and future demanding requirements on rocket engines. This talk will introduce Technology Development at GKN Aerospace, and in particular how the Space business is a driver and enabler in the development and implementation of additive manufacturing (3D-printing in metals). Examples from past and current success stories will be presented during this seminar.
In addition to the Rymdforum conference from May 4th to 6th, the entire week will be filled with space-themed activities, lectures, music and entertainment for both residents and visitors. This Space Week will in many ways enhance both Trollhättan and Sweden’s standing in this field.
