Thomas Ulich is the Director of EISCAT Scientific Association, an international research organization operating advanced radar systems for studies of the Earth’s upper atmosphere and near-Earth space environment. With a background in space physics and long experience in research infrastructure management, he leads the development of EISCAT_3D, a next-generation radar system enabling cutting-edge research on space weather, auroral processes, and ionospheric dynamics. His work contributes to strengthening Europe’s capabilities in monitoring and understanding the space environment that affects modern society.
In addition to the Rymdforum conference from May 4th to 6th, the entire week will be filled with space-themed activities, lectures, music and entertainment for both residents and visitors. This Space Week will in many ways enhance both Trollhättan and Sweden’s standing in this field.
