We have been involved in European space collaboration since the 1970s. We have developed advanced welding technologies used in the nozzles of the Ariane 6 rocket.
For us, Europe’s space collaboration has meant that we are now a Center of Excellence in turbines and metallic nozzles—two critical subsystems of the Vulcain main rocket engine and the Vinci upper-stage engine. We are responsible for both product development with unique technologies and the serial production of nozzles and turbines for Europe’s rocket engines. The production of subsystems for Ariane 6 is ongoing in our new workshop, while development projects for the next generation of rocket engines, Prometheus, are running in parallel.
In addition to the Rymdforum conference from May 4th to 6th, the entire week will be filled with space-themed activities, lectures, music and entertainment for both residents and visitors. This Space Week will in many ways enhance both Trollhättan and Sweden’s standing in this field.
